Pool Filter Cleaning in Lafayette, CA

The oak trees that make Lafayette beautiful are tough on your pool filter. Leaves and acorns sink and decompose, releasing tannins and organic sludge that pack deep into your filter media and stain the elements brown. When that happens, your flow drops, your pump strains, and your water takes on a dull tint. Our pool filter cleaning service pulls that tannin-laden buildup out and restores full, clear circulation.

Filter Cleaning for Lafayette's Oak Tannins and Leaf Sludge

A filter in Lafayette faces a unique challenge: the tannins from decomposing oak leaves and acorns create a sticky, brown sludge that embeds itself deep in the filter media and will not rinse out with plain water. That tannin load also stains the elements, reducing their effectiveness over time. Our deep clean process is built to break through it. We soak cartridge elements in a dedicated cleaner to dissolve the tannin residue and lift the organic sludge, pressure wash between every pleat to flush it clear, and inspect the core and bands for damage. For DE filters, we disassemble the grid assembly, clean each grid individually, check the manifold, and recharge with fresh powder. You receive a photo and a condition report.

• Cartridge elements soaked to dissolve oak tannin residue and sludge
• Every pleat pressure washed and inspected for tears
• DE grids disassembled, cleaned individually, and recharged
• Filter condition documented with a photo after every clean
